About Trinity Heights Recording Studio
Trinity Heights was established by Fred Purser during the late Nineteen Eighties. The opening in 1989 was the culmination of several years planning and 18 months building and studio outfitting.
The original site for the project was the unit on top of the Trinity Square multi-storey car park in Gateshead - hence the name.
Fred Purser has been involved in the mainstream music business since May 1978. He was a member of the bands 'Penetration' and 'The Tygers of Pan Tang', signed to Virgin Records and MCA Records respectively.
After recording several charting albums and singles and extensive touring world-wide, he started moving into session work on guitar, keyboards, backing vocals, engineering and production and working with artists such as Tracey Ullman, Elaine Paige, Alvin Stardust, the Searchers & many others. During this period he worked with top producers such as Peter Collins, Steve Lillywhite, Mick Glossop, Mike Howlett, Peter Waterman etc.
The desire to work in his home territory (the North East of England - as opposed to mainly operating in the capital) was the driving force behind the creation of Trinity Heights.
Over the 17 years of operation there has been constant reinvestment in the studio leading to a facility that has the latest digital technologies running alongside - and complimented by - classic high end analogue equipment.
